TecDAX (TECDAX) Index Highlights

Der TecDAX, also known as the German Technology Index, includes the top 30 technology companies that follow the market capitalization and trading volume of the standard values listed in the DAX. It was introduced in 2003 as a successor to the abolished Nemax Index, which collapsed along with the Neuer Markt. In order to be included in the TecDAX, companies must be listed on the Regulated Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and meet specific international transparency requirements. These requirements include quarterly reporting, conducting an annual analyst conference, and publishing ad-hoc notifications in English as well. The selection of TecDAX companies and their weighting is reviewed every six months in March and September, and updated if necessary. The TecDAX is calculated during Xetra trading hours from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm on a daily basis. After the end of Xetra trading, the index is further calculated based on floor trading prices at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange between 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm in the L-TecDAX (Late-TecDAX), as well as between 8:00 am and 9:00 am in the L/E-TecDAX (Late/Early-TecDAX).
